I thought it was interesting that the traffic lights in Beaumont are horizontal instead of vertical like they are in Utah. I'm sure it's because of the strong winds, but it took me a long time to get used to it. Also while I was driving I noticed on busy streets the mail boxes are turned to the side, probably so people don't hit them but I thought it was different. Living somewhere different for a while will be a good thing. I don't get out much!

I know what you mean, everytime i am in texas visiting my sister i always get scared that i am gonna run a red light since i am not used to them being on their sides!!

they are like that in Canada too. I thought it was odd myself.
